After the reread, it seems both shadow and living doll might be the same person begins with. I judge from how their memories start anyway.
Their inner personality is shadow and their front personality is face. Something like that.

Personally, I think that coffee bottles might be from star bearers themsleves. It's not a new one from Grandfather, that is for sure. If they know ability to control, they should have know how to do it as well.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but throughout this story, I’ve been unable to imagine the dignified and quite Kate with the face of the airheaded and carefree Emyliko. However, this chapter Emyliko's expressions were much closer to how I imagine Kate looks like. The character development is top notch.

My greatest fear is the disaster for Shadows living among humans. In the current setup, Shadows are always alongside their living dolls and that maintained their personalities. If the debutant weirdoes class left the mansion, I fear that the Shadows will loose it because they will not be able to interact with people and hold negative emotions towards their living dolls changing while Shadows remain the same.

I am able to purchase vol. 1-5 from Amazon jp without a Japanese billing address. I paid using my country's credit card. I input a sketchy Japan address and my own house address.
But when vol. 6 came out, my attempt to purchase was rejected. I can confirm that using a VPN solved that restriction. Using Surf Shark.
