Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume

The anime covers chapters 1-6 completely and adds a lot of content that fleshes out the characters and events, so it's possible (and recommended) for you to watch that first and continue from chapter 7.

Chapters 2-6 will be translated eventually, but, due to this, new chapters will take priority.

ACE!!!!! At this rate, migate no gokui ping pong edition isn't impossible.
I still want Kunami to win ... Because Agari's ribbons don't make sense

Why the heck do mangas keep getting unfollowed? I'm sure I had this manga as follow in the past!

Wrote a review and "analysis" (I guess?) on this, here they are:

(for people not sure if they want to read it)

(for fans who are already reading it)

Shakunetsu is delightfully well done. I think that, really, it's a series that should by all means be very basic and ordinary, but Asano Yagura-sensei elevates it to maddening heights through amazing action sequences, RIDICULOUSLY compelling characters, sexual metaphor employed crazily and yet totally effectively, and copious amounts of sweat. Do yourself a favor: read this manga (and watch the anime). Do it for ACE.

Lame ass result with a sauce of plot armor. Agari is boring af and Kumami's character introduction was way more interesting!

@SNSbu
so im not missing anything by going to chapter 7 right after chapter 1?

also, do you have a rought stimate of time when 2-6 would be translated? i'd like to read them even if i already watched the anime

@LLENN
If you've seen the anime, then no, you're not missing anything. Chapters 2-6 cover a condensed version of the Captain's return, Koyori's Mozuyama practice match, and the training camp. Chapter 7 starts up with Kumami visiting Suzumegahara (which happens after the training camp instead of before it in the manga) and continues on to new content.

No estimate on when they'll be ready. Translation has started on them between new monthly chapters, but it's not a high priority and the early chapters are much longer than the more recent ones, so it will likely be a while before all of them are done.

Axed

@SNSbu I'm just wondering, did the news of the axed ending killed the interest in the series? I can relate if that's the case, it really sucks that we won't see more.

@Serenata
No, the delay is due to losing the translator we originally had working on this series. It is a shame that it's over (at least for now), but that hasn't impacted our desire to finish the series. We're having one of our other translators work on the remaining content in his free time in order to finish the series up. The final chapter (28) should be out sometime this month, with the remaining content to follow.

@SNSbu I see, thank you! no rush of course, you guys make great work for everyone! and having only one chapter left I'm a liiittle afraid, I'm just hoping the author will have a chance to continue one day because when the news came out https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-12-08/scorching-ping-pong-girls-manga-to-end-in-tonari-no-young-jump-in-february/.140561 , it wasn't certain if we would ever see her them again.
