Well, aside from the death of one of them, those 2 are basically all that can happen. Rarely, and it is very rarely, do you ever get the perpetual "dating" period which never ends until both die (when one dies, the other will not look for another partner).

I would honestly be interested in seeing lizardmen molts reassembled and lined up in chronological order. I can totally see that being in a museum too. A full life cycle would certainly draw crowds, I think.

If he keeps the molts like that they'd become highly valuable museum pieces for scientific study. Would not be surprised if dude got awarded a PhD in demi human studies or similar and became an expert.
