Shen Yi Di Nu - Ch. 234 - The Lanterns On The Fifth

@JoeStone Honestly? I think the only reason the MC hasn't done anything drastic to "her father" yet was simply because she's still a few years away from marriage and if she did handle her father in a way that either ends his life or ruins his reputation, well that could only hurt her if they(not the prince) decide that she would only bring shame by being with the prince... However, now she is in a position now where she's one of the most valuable people in her country.. so, *shrugs* no idea.

@joestone

In the novel, she expresses it's because her father destroys himself, so what point is there in her doing much of anything to him?

There's also another spoiler-y reason, but the comic hasn't gotten there yet, and I don't think Yu Heng knows about it as of this chapter.

He's so stupid....there are ways to cheat on your family. At least hire an assistant that keeps your family business in proper order.

tch. seriously at this point, if I was the grandmother, i'd abandon the son. tbh there's no loyalty amongst them anyway so it wouldn't come as a surprise. xD

@roxanneayy she can't. because the son hold all the power as the minister. in fact, the son would abandon the mother if that action won't bring shame to his name.

@sunshinelemons what chapter in the novel?

@Mogima but if the grandma sides with the MC genuinely from now on, she'd be siding with a strong power than the minister.

@roxanneayy yes. but do keep in mind that her priorities is to keep her current standing from crashing.
add that to how MC hid the facts to destroy some prince(forgot which), and the granny is a money-grubbing daughter of a bitch, then you'll understand why she won't

the MC has designed it so the only one who'll prosper with her is the one who actually love/care about her.
