@Kirin-kun basically yes. I've read ahead with another, and in my opinion less accurate, version and what i saw convinced me to drop this. I'll probably check from time to time if the plot finally get interesting, and not " oh no, antagonist decide to be dumb and make another plot against the heroine who magically know everything in advance and seem to have everyone on her side"

@Tesla Yeah, but usually it's not the same opponent for 100 chapters (anyone would wise up, either by stopping altogether, or by biding his time after 4564545 failures).
And just wait when you'll see the heroine casually make one of her opponent get gangraped by ten comonners (or hobos, i don't remember), if the translation isn't too much off the mark for the lulz.

In the recent chapters I feel the art, rythm (bubbles, movements, poses, etc) all shattered.
It has nothing to do with what it was 30 or so chapters before, anything special happened ?
The storytelling barely makes any sense now, jumping from one thing to another without any care or setting.

@Shyning I've heard somewhere that some time ago, around the chapters you said I think, there was a change of artist.
Probably around the time the other friends/princesses suddenly appeared with no introduction. They may have also decided to change the pace at that time cause since then the manhua has really accelerated out of nowhere, introducing people we've never seen before and established relationships we never even heard of before in previous chapters.

The art changed, slightly enough, I'm surprised they found someone with the same kind of art (but definitely not of the same quality).
I guess it's about since then yeah that everything went down hill, as you said they introduced friends/princesses, well no, they didn't but... screw it.
It was going nice, perfect pace, not too fast, not too slow, slow enough to develop characters, fast enough to keep moving through plot points to keep them interesting.
Not we're running a marathon for some reason where everything gets skipped at light's speed.
Quality dropped rock bottom imho, went from a 8, maybe 9 out of 10 to something barely scrapping 4 or 5.

The candle didn't just happen to fall onto the curtain but was rigged to fall over somehow after a certain amount of aphrodisiac was released. That's why only the candle is falling and not the candle holder. Wonder why the Elder is unhappy with all the sisters except MC? The daughter of Concubine An gets along well with MC, doesn't cause trouble, is very meek and quiet. Concubine Han's daughter is understandable as she seems to have learned hot to act badly from Shenshi.

The LN tells in better detail but Chengwang outraged by what Chenyu and her brother did decided to get some revenge. So she found some of the aphrodisiac Yiyue had saved to use with Zihao that had been leftover from making the candle and poured it into the candle in Chenyu's room. Then faked a note from Chenyu asking Zihao to come to her room. Between his personality, lack of intelligent thought or future consequences, and the aphrodisiac still in the air decided to enjoy what was laid out before him. Chengwang also dug up and snuck in Yiyue's corpse into the bed as well.
