Book 2 is admittedly largely SoL of their lives in the Knight Order, I’m guessing they referred to the morning trainings as academy arc? But in this case they’re all full-fledged Knights, and perform daily Knight service with proper pay. And then Book 3 opens with a bloody war...

Hopefully the manga will make things more exciting like it did with the early parts of the novel.
