@Hacete she's watching Super Sentai in the beginning, but the "translators" calls it Power Rangers. Because in America Saban entertainment stole the japanese footage for Super Sentai, replaced everyone with shitty actors and just used the japanese footage for the fight scenes. Making it super kiddy and childish, while in Japan it's mature and still alittle silly.

It's an insult. It's like refering to Godzilla movies to the shitty 1999 movie, or

@dsid2814 Thanks for explaining what you meant. Also, this was my first time hearing about the origin of Power Rangers; I always thought it was an original idea they(American) came up with. I was thinking backwards actually, thinking the Japanese stole the idea and now I feel guilty to have believed it. I came to this conclusion maybe be because of the Spiderman series adaptation in japan

It was a real shock to me too when I found out about the Godzilla's origin at first and felt it hard to believe but I got over it now.

@dsid2814 you are wrong in the stole part. They rightfully bought the rights and footage. And in my honest opinion, the fact they bringed this genre to this continent have it merits, Sentai was aired decades before and none in this side of the continent knew about them, but now thanks to the Power Rangers localization this genre became a classic and still is aired.
