At first this manga reminds me of 'happiness' though it start to change into different thing.

Seems blood works on them like on a standard vampire. Osamu had that ghastly look before due to being constantly burned by the sun without having enough blood for his body to recover.

Dont think he was fully awakened yet since she wanted to avoid that (maybe to avoid him rebeling against her since for now she holds literal power over him forcing him to obey simple commands)
