Might as well ask - why do you (and others) think Chika is "annoying female lead"? Honestly curious here because I have yet to read any meaningful comment on the matter.
And before anyone asks, yes there have been times where she's been clingy and whiny with Hirota, but if Souichi had any meaningful character development, it's exactly because this "annoying female lead" has had the heart to be kind to him (and if that counts as NTR for anyone, that's laughable at best).
While I thik (I hope) everyone here has a working brain on their shoulders, I can't completely disagree with @kazaddum's comment. :/
@pihip because this series started interesting, but then Chika happened. MC saving her and she's being used as a drama device for like 15 chapters in a row now and this whole love triangle is so so forced
Are you forgetting the part where Chika started drifting towards edgy boy four eyes even though her boyfriend had been missing for days?
Edit:
Quoting myself from chap 17 comments:
Exactly!
I mean, her boyfriend has been missing for three days, but this guy's sob story is more important?
Nice priorities.
If Chika actually goes for Souichi, I will spend the rest of the manga praying for her death.
And Souichi's 'character development' can be attributed to nothing more than 'someone being nice to him'. All they have done is hijack the story from the MC, whose plotline I find more interesting.
@ThunderSkelett ...no, you're not the only one. At this point i'm just enjoying the nice drawing and stop caring about these characters. Which is a shame tho, since it have nice premise at the beginning of the story.
@ThunderSkelett No, me too. I don't understand why some people always expect "character development" in every manga. Sometimes you just have to relax and enjoy what is going on.
