Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou, Murabito A ni Tensei suru - Vol. 1 Ch. 3 - The Former Demon Lord's Blunder

Yes, many thanks to the translation team!

@Leo80221 Yep—that's gonna be interesting! :3 Course, I wonder how many frienemies he makes? Will the jerkass Duke's son become a frienemy?

@TheDragonLord This might kind of ruin your expectations or the impact of what happens with him but, here it is.
He doesn't really pop up again for a while in the LN, the potion class is volume 1 Ch 6 of the LN and the fight they had is Ch 5, but when Ard runs into him again in Ch30, he's basically done a full 180 and has become a decent guy instead of an asshole, he even becomes friendly with Ard, though he isn't around a lot in the first 2 volumes, it's basically just part of Ch4 through Ch5 and then a 2 or 3 pages of Ch30. He feels very guilty about how he treated Ginny, and says he plans to become a better person and thanks Ard for kicking his ass and teaching him a lesson.
It's been a few months since I read the first 2 volumes, so I might not be remembering that part 100% correctly.

How lucky, he did get to see her smug face anyway, despite it technically being her loss. (I guess she was already on a high from being best until then, and also already expecting him to be better at this too - since that makes her previous loss smart less. "He's simply the best at everything".)

Well, is magic started thinning as soon as he "passed", i guess there must be some kind of connection.

Just like that other "series.." but which one? hmmm, lmfao.

When you intentionally try to loose, but you win anyway cause everyone else is just more incompetent

Why would using a magic circle that was only used in special occasions in the past for everyday use in the present means it’s declined? Isn’t that like saying the creation of sweets has decline because the average person can now afford to buy and eat them?

@Stalkerman I think it is more of using a complex method on a simple problem. Presumably magic circles were used on things like rituals or super specialized things that you couldn't just magic up, you wouldn't use them on a normal consumable. It's like drawing a selfie of you and your friend rather than just taking a picture. Sure you can draw it out, but you normally wouldn't do that.

At least he's not so dense that he doesn't realize that he is superbly overpowered
