@al103 also at the beginning there would be collateral damage since the demon is in land and his allies are still there(demon is a dishonorable curr that will use human shields). Notice he power up once his allies are secured. In the sky there is less chance for his allies to be collateral damage not to mention the scale of that might destroy everything in its path for kilometers.
