I don't see anything wrong with it, nor a reason to not ship them, it doesn't really matter that this "isn't that type of manga" considering Bancho-san's manga featured a yuri couple with the support characters and wasn't that type of manga either.

But I like the Inu Neko ship more, dunno, i just like that kind of relationships.
