Why do they immediately believe in him without even questioning his origins? Putting aside how ridiculously dumb and impossible the demon's plan was, they've already seen that demons are capable of camouflaging themselves as humans. They should at least have some suspicion as to whether he himself is a demon, no? Especially when he hadn't told anyone why he knows all of the stuff that he knows.

The dude unmasked and killed a demon that was infiltrating a human kingdom and is currently working to gather more rare minerals than even the kingdom has in its treasury... All for some magical trinkets and baubles that were collecting dust. Logically, if he wanted to, he could destroy the kingdom. He hasn't chosen to do so and is, in fact, working against the demons. That doesn't mean you have to trust or like him, but it would just be very unwise to piss him off or not take his cooperation. Because you probably couldn't stop him if he did decide to turn against you. The fact that he's killing your enemies, however, and hasn't decided to destroy your country when it could have easily done it a dozen times over shows that he's the logical choice to deal with. If you're going to be destroyed anyways, why NOT work with the guy killing your enemies and seems willing to help you?

Think of it like you being some UAC security guard about to die from a horde and demons and all of a sudden Doomguy shows up and annihilates them all in seconds. You don't ask questions.
