i actually do want to see shio with gai after this. I'd honestly like to see the author retread this ground just to see how it progresses, especially now that gai's willing to stand up to his family for shio's sake. His development up to now has kind of been casting aside his brothers legacy. I feel like now hes at a point where, if he were to enter a relationship with her it wouldn't be for the sake of denouncing his brother's roles in either of their lives, but from a place of genuine appreciation for their relationship, which has been one of the emotional lynchpin's of this manga

gai's mom is kind of crazy. she is blaming shio for her older sons problems. It is hard to imagine the mother doesn't know about her sons affair and why they got a divorce, but she is almost acting like she doesn't know? If she doesn't know, it would be interesting to see that come out. Gai tells off his mom saying that shio is a good person and that it was his brother that caused the problems.

Yeah, Gai's mom seems kind of obsessive. It's not just rude any more, she's got some neurotic stuff happening.
