This is for me the Canon Ending for Evangelion. It feels very much like the original and portrays both Shinji and Asuka in a humane perspective.

The ending of the original Evangelion series was super discerning and kinda messed me up. This doujin, however gives a beautiful and satisfactory ending (note: not canon) to the series which almost left me on the verge of tears. I highly recommend reading this.

Man, what a masterpiece, I absolutely adore this doujin. This is the new canon ending for Eva in my regard now. I felt really bad for Rei, she was definitely one of the cooler characters there, even though I alway wanted Shinji to end up with Asuka.
