I actually just pieced this together, but is her mom the Mahjong champion? The way she just disappeared from the neighborhood and this Mahjong champion appeared. But I don't see the need to hide it.

@13man18 - It was already revealed in an earlier chapter that she's a hostess and super strong at mahjong, but she played against the world champion and lost because she was distracted and placed under some sort of mind control.
