I don't get why the white dragon wife gets so mad. I mean, didn't she herself acknowledge that he'd be taking more than one wife- as royalty is expected to do? I get, and understand, that she gets mad over them popping up like roaches. But he has already said she's number one, so I don't see what the big deal is. Self image issue perhaps?

Uhh.... You see modern binoculars in chapter 1, you see a double-barrel tank in chapter 2... it's not like it was a sudden inconsistency.

Let me make a small correction on that: he doesn't see her as a tool; he sees himself as a tool.
Basically, because he regards his own existence as inconsequential, he's doesn't understand what kind of impact his actions have on those close to him.

@Guspaz you don't seem to understand where I'm getting at. In the first conflict that was shown, the CAPITAL CITY ITSELF was occupied for a significant amount of time. With what? LINE Soldiers WITH CROSSBOWS AND SWORDS with horses and nothing else who uses charging tactics to boot. The city's absolutely and utterly defenseless, an OCCUPIED CITY, with the only first line of defense of detecting airborne enemies is a fucking watchtower with two soldiers in it with a binocular. Its "Elite" guards only being medieval soldiers with swords and shiny armour. All of that in a world revealed later to be filled with giant robots, tanks, guns with bayonets, giant intercontinental cannons, big floating screens which can tell enemy positions like a minimap revealed in the training tournament arc, USED BY STUDENTS. Nothing about that seem off to you? Not gonna wonder why an army of 39k were all made up of and was just limited to fighting with swords and spears and crossbows with the exception of magic? While occupying a city?
