I don't know why everyone is surprised. They have spent YEARS as each other. They went through puberty as the other sex. They've been living with each other's families.
At this point, it probably is more natural for them to be in each other's bodies. Going back would probably be just as awkward as the initial swap was.

I dont mind Yui falling in love with Yuuta but this seems...kinda fast? I would've made her acknowledge his feelings but explore her own feelings gradually through the ending. I guess its because Yui feels like less of a character than Yuuta
