Damn. I know this feel. When you quit, and try to quit quietly, but someone kind from your workplace decides to improvise a tiny send-off party, and keeps blabbering about how good of a worker you were...it's insufferable, and when it ends you run away like a frightened fox, and try to forget it as soon as possible

This chapter really hit me hard. I did exactly the same thing, and this chapter is like looking in the past for me, except one thing that other than the boss, no one knew about my quitting beforehand. In fact, in the day I left the company, some still thought it was a joke until I fking left. It felt so incredible.

This was a nice chapter, I don't like fake empathy but the other girl seems really nice and took the time to prepare a little send off even when she wasn't told anything, that's imo 1000 times better that those sendoffs where everyone just say stupid shit to make it seem like they even cared anything about you at all.
