I went through a few comment sections of the deleted chapters after they were removed.

He seemed very involved with the readers, and really showed a personal interest in the stories he translated. In addition, he always encouraged people to buy official releases when possible.

From what I've seen, his reaction to getting modded seemed out of character. Had I been familiar with him previously, he would've been one of the last people I'd expect to react like that.

Absolutely baseless theory time!

Dude was dealing with higher-than-normal-for-him stress levels IRL, feeling like he had lost control of his life. Maybe demanding bosses or constant interference.
So he comes to MD, the one place where scanlators have unparalleled control over their own releases, only to find his comment moderated.
This is the proverbial 'straw that broke the camel's back' and may explain his OOC nuclear response.

Bunman's account was accidentally(?) logged into by another user, who, unfortunately for Paulbro, found immense pleasure in the suffering of others. The "don't touch my shit" edit, as well as all future comments, were actually written by this mysterious chaotic evil user, who saw the perfect chance to wreak havoc and decided to take advantage of it.
