It's becoming very apparent that the Time Loop theory is confirmed. The Lost Girls stories and Mikasa's behavior in ch. 138 are lining up with the theory.

The final panel

is most likely Eren shortly after being born again. The line "You are free." is Grisha just awkwardly calming his newborn son.

I always thought this theory was where the story was going mainly because, y'know, SnK is heavily inspired by Muv Luv. Anyways, eight years of my life wasted spent shitposting over this manga only for my OG thoughts on ch. 1 to be proven correct...
