I don't think it does a good enough job establishing if she hates it or is just confused. I mean the confession in chapter 1 felt pretty clear to me, I get she has self esteem issues but I would of thought it would be obvious. Also Hiyama is Mizushima's childhood friend so couldn't she just ask him to help set her up with Kimura.
