Shoukan sareta Kenja wa Isekai wo Yuku - Vol. 6 Ch. 21

Those needle almost as big as an arrow, I'm pretty sure people would just straight up dead if they get hit by one of those in the neck...

@zz2000
That might be the lore of the novel, but calling it "earth humanitarian values" is both a cop out, and very flawed, if anything you could make the argument that many people on earth today are just as brutal if not moreso than in ancient times, we just have much better tools to kill people with and much better ways to keep them in line, and in the long run "humanitarian rules" led to situations like isis springing up not to mention that the death penalty's actual purpose is to prevent more bloodshed, not cause more bloodshed, the argument is honestly the thing i hate most about japanese manga these days, it's too unrealistic, "oh that general likes to rape and pillage kingdoms, sending him back alive or even just imprisoning him, a guy who's a walking disaster, is a good idea, what he broke out and burned down another kingdom? time to arrest him again", or as i call it the batman paradox, how many lives would be saved if batman just picked up a gun and shot the joker, stuff like that.

Whoops went on a bit of a tangent there lol, sorry about that.
Guess this does explain my fondness for things like arifureta though.

@Tatsuya-Kai No worries, I see where you're coming from.

It's also why I like stuff from Chinese and Korean webtoons because they provide a more realistic yet brutal viewpoint to dealing with enemies.
Either you crush them straight away to serve as a warning; or you only let them live because it factors in your greater plan to draw out the bigger mastermind.

I swear that orc statue is a key to unlocking something in the story.

Did he kill the guards? If so then why did he let that count/duke/noble guy run away from the last chapter. Yeah for this he had to, because they were guarding and could alert the others, but the count guy was a supremist who wanted to wipe out beast folk and human collaborators. It feels like letting Hitler live but killing soldiers who happen to be in the way.

Just a small bit of consistency I wish the mc had in his decision making

@gregger did you miss the part about the needles being paralysis inflicting items? as far as I could tell no guards were *permanently* harmed in this possibly failed jailbreak attempt

I get that the king looks pretty messed up, but are his eyes gouged out? That's pretty messed up.

Also, thanks for the update.
