The Conditions the Empire gave this Kingdom wasn't worth enough for them to side with the Empire. I get that they're desperate but they are handling control to the Empire.
I love how the MC was getting calm and confident here. Here was acting overbearing for a change.
But I find it hard to believe that the Kingdom wasn't aware of their natural resources. They still had info of other countries after all

@UnknownSaint111 Remember, Mahmut had to ask Zaganos Pasha to confirm whether their cliffs were really those sterkos Abliga claimed them to be. It's a heckin' cliff that's been in their kingdom for who knows how long. That's like someone saying that the soil under your house is actually made of bronze powder all this time.
Imagine the amount of bird feces it took to make that entire cliff area. It definitely didn't take just 50 years, but thousands of years. So that pile of sterkos' been there under everyone's noses for millennias and have just been found now.
They probably thought that the smell came from the bodies of the people that went to die in the cold or something. It's been going on for generations after all.
