It's shounen, but MC is female.

I start it: https://mangadex.org/title/11277

Dr. Slump! https://mangadex.org/title/970/dr-slump

I think it even had a chapter lampshading this fact, where a gang leader character was like "don't you think that people are too wussy these days!?" and another gang member was like "yeah! some boys' manga even have girls as the main characters!"

It ran from 1980-1984. Super popular in Weekly Shounen Jump back in the day. Also, it inspired the design of the poop emoji.

I love it, it's silly and great.

Most CGDCT are shounen though…
Well, I'll drop this: https://mangadex.org/title/9343

@421cookies Oh, of course, CGDCT!

That means we've got to mention Azumanga Daioh as well: https://mangadex.org/title/45/azumanga-daioh

Published 1999 to 2002 in Dengeki Daioh, and set the trend for school girl manga series! Also, containing classic scenes like Osaka knife, Chiyo pigtails dream, Yukari's driving, "Get motivated!", "combined our score is 102!", every scene with Chiyo's dad in it ("HELLO EVERYNYAN"), Yamapikarya, chinsuko, ukoncha, sata andagi , and so on...

Ahhh lots of good memories

Promised Neverland anyone? Having girl protagonist is rare in shounen, so I am kind of surprised to know Emma is a girl (lol, I thought of her as a boy because of the preview)

Railgun is great, I love Railgun. Uiharu is lowkey one of the most OP people in Academy City tbh (Jailbreaker Arc).

Fun fact: The mangaka for Railgun is the one who drew the R18 Yotsuba&! doujinshi series called "Pretty Neighbour". (Mainly Koiwai x Fuuka stuff.)

And so, another shounen manga with a female MC: Yotsuba&! https://mangadex.org/title/311/yotsuba-to

Very enjoyable slice of life series. When I first tried to read it, it seemed a bit boring, but on my second try, I really got into it. It has a pretty fun cast of characters. There's cheerful bundle of joy 4-chan mascot Yotsuba, Good Dad Koiwai, neighbour Fuuka, environmentally conscious Ena, cool boyish Miura, playful Asagi, Jumbo-sized Jumbo, and more! Also, the background art is really good.

I'd argue it's more Sienen than Shounen but Ancient Magus Bride

https://mangadex.org/title/10801/the-ancient-magus-bride

Zettai Karen Children! https://mangadex.org/title/820/zettai-karen-children
Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi is also a cute one https://mangadex.org/title/23094/kunoichi-tsubaki-no-mune-no-uchi , and we have quite a lot of shounen romance series with female protagonists like Tomo-chan wa Onna no ko! https://mangadex.org/title/15722/tomo-chan-wa-onna-no-ko or Mousou Telepathy https://mangadex.org/title/19915/mousou-telepathy , though in those cases it gets kinda arguable whether the main character is the boy or the girl... guess it depends on whose point of view the story focuses more?

Fantasy in an old school style had tons of those:

There is also 6th JoJo:

I've read this fairly recently short but the pacing is good

Gekka bijin: https://mangadex.org/title/1890/gekka-bijin is a retelling of the story of princess kaguya. The focus is on her trying to control/learn her powers while a bunch of shady folk stage a coup on the moon kingdom

Esprit: https://mangadex.org/title/1596/esprit is standard shounen storya, but with a female lead. I say this, but its actually one that im really soft to. Its set in a world where most people have powers based on beliefs called Jinxes. MC Mio wants to become an ocean explorer and find all sorts of "homes" (islands) and meet lotsa new folk
