I honestly can't tell if this is the actual final chapter or not.
Above it says that it'll end on chapter 16, which means there's one more chapter left to go.
Either it was an error or this is another fake out like the ones in earlier chapters.

It's like they wanted to write some interesting method of critiquing modern society, or maybe just write an interesting story, but then gave up and got bored the final few chapters and just wrote schlock. Damn shame.

Yeah, NisiOisiN usually has decent ideas but he either runs out of steam or gets way too convoluted trying to make the plot look smart.

Hmmm. I disagree. I call him a troll because it's exactly what he does. Medaka Box was a giant shitpost making fun of every tropes of shonen manga and it was glorious.
Just don't take him seriously.
