Showa Maiden Fairytale - Vol. 3 Ch. 20 - Birthday party

But Tamako would not agree to it. And Tamako's adopted parents DEFINITELY wouldn't agree to it. So I don't get what the plan here is for that.

@RedMarks Jinta was adopted into the Shima family, so no, she's not.

Honestly, I don't understand how she can be so irrational. In the first series she was very calculating and got what she wanted through clever emotional manipulation. But with Jinta she's like all texas chainsaw massacre on him and expects him to just go along with it, which he doesn't really respond to beyond general fear and has literally already stabbed her one time as a result. The kid stabbed her once for her craziness; is she really sure he isn't gonna do it again?

Is she actually insane now, instead of just a psychopath?

@sirflimflam I think she is. She was getting gradually weirder in the first series, and I get the feeling she didn't react well to losing. This version is someone who isn't in control any more, and who can't really have any of the things she used to be obsessed with. If anything, she's as much trying to goad him into killing her as she is trying to get her way.

@Purplelibraryguy I think you're right. I think she has reached the point where her goal is to maintain the family by turning him into her carbon copy. By killing her, he would pretty much be the same as she was, killing off her family to get what she wanted. She is presuming killing her would make him colder and subsequently take over the family much in the way she did, almost ensuring she lives on through him.
