He may not be the MC of the game, but that won't stop him from influencing the world.
Plenty of people in any game can be stronger than the MC, he may just become one of them. And since this is not a game-like world where other people can't do shit against/during any "game-events" even if they are knights or something, then the outcome is obviously gonna be different.
