Shut Hell

Easily one of best historical manga out there. The artstyle is pretty unique and the characters pretty likable. The action is perhaps the most notable, as it is very fluid and rewarding if you are the type of person who pays attention to all the details.

Above all, though, this is an emotional story that wants to move you.

This series is such a masterpiece. Honestly can recommend it to pretty much anyone.

Ahh yes, remember reading this one because of certain H work. The protagonists is so like able.

I finally got to finish the series after 5 years, and I'm so sad to see it go (but so happy with how it ended.) I wish this would get an English translation - I would love to own the volumes, in a way that they won't be lost when Mangadex and the scanlation sites inevitably disappear. I feel like I understand a bit of what Yurul felt, trying to preserve the Tangut script...

damn good stuff 10/10 would read again (on another note is there anything like this? i want more)

edit: i just realized the main couple have not kissed at all through out the whole series hus i am now giving it a 9/10

Wow, that was a real hidden gem. Amazing. Gave it a 10/10. I never do that. I highly recommend. A thrilling story that keeps you guessing. Don't be turned away by the tags. You won't regret it.

You could’ve gotten rid of the time travailing aspect and nothing would have been changed. Fake deaths are always good writing not repetitive No no. it’s alright but shouldn’t be put on a pedestal. Supernatural elements like the girl who sleep animal was a bit of a bruh moment but not bad 7/10.

This is really cool and feel original the setting is interresting the characters feel human when they are meant to and surnatural when it matters.
The story have twist but never break immersion if you accept the setting.
The art is really fluid and convey the animalistic choreography of the fights really well.
Overall really good manga and i couldn't recommend it enough

This manga is such an amazing journey.
I was sceptical at first since for the first dozen or so chapters this seemed like another edgy fighting manga. However then something happened that I did not expect: Growth

The characters (and the story itself) slowly change and mature as the story goes on, even having to face the consequences of their past deeds. This development is what makes Shut Hell so amazing in my opinion.

Fun fact, the name Shut Hell is based on the Mongolian word for demon, Chötgör. The story definitely makes more sense knowing that.
