I wouldn't consider him pathetic. He's obviously got a lot of rage in him. He just dislikes confrontation, one could even think it he fears it. He flinched when his name was shouted by the grandfather, but he doesn't retaliate even when he wants to. He knows what he wants, has the charisma to tell the girl he loves he does, and is willing to throw away his nobility for her. He's not shying away from her or running away from her engagement like many other harem MCs. He simply just doesn't seem to like conflict, as he said. But once that fear goes away, he'll likely be a fine MC anyone can get behind in jealousy- as he is a harem protagonist.

Superior choice should be to make the girl pregnant right now. That way her family won't be able to sell her to the crown prince and has to accepted MC. That is way better than running away just like that without any preparations and let the girl you love facing such unknown danger outside.

Any story with a Yandere in it, Is a story I check out..
I like what I see so far. Not really sure how I feel about the "implied harem" tho. Yandere girl and Aurlia seem like enough.
i going to pray theres more to the yandere girl, like shes some hidden vicious bodyguard who can defend the MC. That be cool. She also not only licked his blood and sweat, she always ate his meal, I know it. She ate the liver.

But I get the feeling running away isnt going to work out. Not with what we seen on the MC, hes going to get his ass kicked being of lesser talent. I'd say MC cant protect Auralia right now, Only if he can get help.

Not a good start for a manga, at least for my taste.

The mc is clearly pathetic and weak, in a world where power means everything. Yet we haven't seen any signs of this guy trying to improve his strength and skills, which he clearly lacks all of them.. Also clearly this guy is just ignorant and stupid, thinking that asshole of a grandfather would let his weak ass marry that girl.
Also him insulting the king & prince while the ignorant assholes can hear him like that (no matter if he's right or not)...
I dunno what this idiot protagonist is thinking, him saying stuff like that as if it would help the situation or make any difference.

I'm gonna give this a chance and keep reading, BUT, I'm not surprised if people drop this after reading this chapter and disliking the mc..
