He had the advantage with range, his stupid mistake was going in to attack the guy like hes using a sword. If you live out your life only needing to hit a guy with the blunt stick part of your spear then he really didn't have the experience needed to win the fight.

You punks complaining about Lubu only using one hand are ignoring the story, or didn't read. His greatest strike was made ONE-HANDED, with the centrifugal force and all of his concentration involved.

Which means he'd used two hands and got weaker strikes. His best was one-handed, gripping the polearm like a lunatic.

None of your "If he'd just done it this way." matters, because canonically YOU ARE WRONG.
