@Esper 'Course not. Not shocking enough, not in the chapter's climax, don't have contrast with high moment. Probably just a flesh wound or a scratch like gunshot through lung or five liters of bloodloss. Nothing serious I mean.

@AgentKuga I don't think it's ever explicitly said, but I assume it's portals, since she's the only one we've seen make them so far (going to/from the space station but also popping into teru's room) so it's probably not just a stock hero power.

And if that's the case, I'd be surprised if she's dead, because she basically ferries teru around every place she needs to be for the plot.

I really wish that's the case, then she could get out of her situation quite easily. But I don't know about portals, since chapter 4 page 3 is Shy asking her shrimp buddy to open a portal. But reading your comment, it reminds me that Pesha's ability might be instant teleportation. I haven't remembered a moment when she appears suddenly with a portal.

But she has plot armor

@AgentKuga That's true, forgot all about that portal Ebi did, so dunno then. But if portals aren't her power, you could probably swing that as "well would the author really kill off a character before showing us her power?" too, I guess. But I'm also biased just because I don't want her to be dead here.

Also wrt moments where she appears suddenly with a portal, in chap 1 page 25 she appears on Teru's bed and you can see what looks like a portal above her head (though it's not quite as detailed as other portals, but that might just be a style thing).

Aw I checked chapter 1 again and you’re right, she does travel by using portals. So I guess teleportation’s pretty much out now. I think the author would at least show us what her ability is before killing her off, yeah.

I’m also biased... I like her a lot and I hope she’s not dead... I really doubt the author would kill her off so soon. I’m the type who when something happens to characters I like, I look through the entire series and pick out every little detail that would maybe guarantee their survival.

aw man, I knew this sort of thing would happen, but I wasn't sure exactly when, or if it'd be spirits, i'd figured it'd be her one friend, but ok. this way, we'll see if another russian hero comes about or if its just a one and done thing, i guess.
