Still not sure where the story is going. Still excited to see where it goes.

There isn't anything about friendship yet.
Shy and the girl Iko hasn't spouting anything about friendship power like those shounen.
The fight on chapter 3-4 basically to tense up that she'll be fine bearing another burden as in her fault causing Iko to be disabled following Iko past burden about her parents.
If you noticed the bar , there's like "0" casualties there.
Undoubtedly this manga will probably get really dark in future due the drama and stuff.
You would already notice it when Shy failed to save Iko properly causing her to bleed internally and some fractures.
MC only said something about some people exist to give her a courage despite being a crybaby.
This won't only apply to Iko but Papasha when Shy having a depression over saving Iko in chapter 1.
I wouldn't really judge it to be that cliche yet.
Though the real reason I was here was the subtext Yuri which is 100% obvious.

It's an over the top cliché. Literally all heroes draw power from their feelings of "justice" and they're going to be battling people that draw power directly from "evil" feelings. It's clearly a cliché from the beginning, hence why it doesn't need much explanation on the story and such, people already expect what will happen in this kind of enviroment.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I myself enjoy it, I'm just saying what it really is.
The hero setting and the dramas that come with it are a long running cliché and this manga is mixed with drawing power from stronger feelings(classic shounen cliché). The very fact that whether or not she's qualified to be a hero is being decided by a fight couldn't be more shounen-ish.
The shounen cliché has lived for so long for a reason and there are stories out there that prove it can be really good if executed well. (HxH, Gash Bell, FMAB, YuYu Hakusho, BNHA)

Shounen and yuri are good, I like this shounen yuri manga, please give me more shounen and yuri
Holyshit, I'm really fucking liking stardust dudes a badass, I fucking love this series. Design wise everything looks amazing with their costumes/looks and how stardust looks like a OP dude and Shy about to go ham at the ending, I really like how simple their looks are/powers but the artist still somehow manage to make them look strong. THIS SHIT IS HYPEEEE

@phantom00 the power is given so the lord can just choose another one if her powers ends up taken. As mentioned shy is newer which means she is one of the last one to be chosen.
