In fact that applies to Ibee as well. Although it's possible Alejandro could have paid handsomely to her parents not to do it, and used some political pressure as well if money didn't solve everything. After all it would sound mighty suspicious, like Alejandro was planning to make her a mistress. Depending on the society and culture that could be a troublesome and honourless position.
