@omnilynx I don't disagree, but this seems like a bit of an uphill battle. He's probably not going to trust anyone besides her easily after his own parents treated him that way while he was cursed and only now feel like trying to get closer to him. Everyone who approaches him will ultimately be compared to the one person who actually seemed to care about him even when he was cursed, and they're gonna fall short by default in some part of his mind.

There is a lot of people saying the age gap isn't important and it's true that 4 years isn't much but please keep in mind that he is 14 years old, 14!!!!. He apparently fell in love whit her at 13yo!!!

The fact that when he was 13 he looked like a 10yo boy and now that he is 14 he looks like a 18yo somehow doens't help realise it but I find creepy personally how he acts when he is 14yo. I wonder how people would react if he was a girl and she was a boy...

I like how a certain NBR incest did it. Basically they took a break (I think 3 years) but their feelings never did change so they got together again.

Hell even Watashi no Shounen did it better. Why does this one have to take the cringe route?

I think the FMC's main worry right now is the princess who will be the actual prince's true love. However I don't think that is going to work out. If I'm reading this right, the princess took pity later, but FMC took pity first so she is defacto winner.

If this was a fluff manga I bet the duke would ask his son "do you like older girls?". But damn I'd prefer a scene like that instead of "think of your place you lowly peasant!"
