Siscon Ani to Brocon Imouto ga Shoujiki ni Nattara - Vol. 4 Ch. 38 - When You Consider the Road to Happiness

So short.

But at least it was resolved fast, just by talking like normal humans do.

Well, at least it's a more realistic career goal than "King of the Pirates".

Those are pretty chill parents. Though, we'll see how chill they really are if the incest bomb is ever dropped.

I just don't get why can't he get a stable job as a civil servant and then make games as a hobby? You know without all the pressure of starving to death if your game fails? Personally, I think that working in something you love will make you stop loving that thing (bacause now your livelihood depends on it), it's better to work at something stable (that you don't hate) and with your stable income do what you love as a hobby (so you don't care about success but having fun).

He's probably doomed, but oh well. His teacher's comment still makes me cringe at how stupid it was; teachers are supposed to give advice, not say stupid shit. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he said to somebody something like "you like karaoke a lot, so you should/could become an idol".

Problem solved. Now he's definitely not going to be happy. Ever again. In his entire miserable existence.

And then he got hired by EA and spent the rest of his life finding new ways to trick little children into using their mom's credit card to buy lootboxes.

As someone who actually studied for game design, lemmie tell you. that shit can be soul crushingly difficult just to LEARN. executing what you learn is a whoooole- nother story. Good luck to him :")

Dad, Mom...
I decide to marry my sister

Mom: See... What did I told you
JK XD

>going into game development
as a CS major who decided to avoid that field with a 10-foot pole, good luck MC

Wait a minute. She wants to make both of them to be happy. He wants to make both of them happy.

His solution: A career involving coding.

The phrase "happily coding" is an oxymoron. ESPECIALLY when doing game dev work. Just hope MC gets to work on the more creative coding aspects like item functionality or map development and not networking.

@newdoria88 because that wouldn't solve the problem of him spending his entire life doing a job he hates, and he would then have next to no time to spend with Uta.

Now, it's ironic that I just read some days ago a report about horrible working conditions at Naughty Dogs...be careful of what you wish, Ritsu.
But having said that, I'm a software developer myself and while some aspects of the job aren't much pleasant, I'd still choose that other being a civil servant in a heartbeat.

Working for passion is different from working for money.

Regardless of conditions as long as you enjoy your job, that's what makes it worth it.

Now time for the incest.

@Lex79 I did mention that he should choose a job he doesn't hate, he doesn't have to love it just not hate it. If he studies and gets into a good University he has decent chances of getting a 9 to 5 job. But, then again, nothing is certain in life, he could end up in a 12 hours job, but that could also happen as a gamer devolper. Life is a gamble unless you were born rich.
