I think replacing "(omitted" with blablabla is better

"ane toshite, imouto wo shinpai shiteiru kara koso no (ryaku"

the (ryaku here represents her practically zero effort to even give excuses, exaggerated by the missing ")"

so even though "(omitted" is technically more correct, using "blablabla" would be better for the nuance
