Still.... it would be nice if the author actually continued the story with them both trying to figure out a relationship.
It's not going to be easy, they both have a lot of baggage and their jobs are also highly stressful and fast paced.
There is a lot the author could do, but to write it she'd have to be brave i guess? Just like Ren and Kyoko would have to be, to make it work.
