This seemed better when it was a one shot. And now as the other guy said, first the author spooked straight romance loving people out, then yaoi fanbase got baited and then chased away. Now it has neither.

I personally don't mind, I've read this manga as it came out, I like it a lot too. But false baiting does in fact tend to anger fanbases. That's why despite being a pretty good 4 chapter long manga, it's rating is low so here.

That is common and encouraged on this website; I often receive them myself.

If that were the case traps wouldn't be as popular as they are to begin with with a character's gender being revealed to be different from initially believed often many chapters later.

And how would you explain the popularity of Crimvael then? A character of whom it makes no sense to even ask whether he's male or female — he's cute; that's it.
