@staberas he killed the lich because he practiced his fight and knows all his moves from when he was in his previous life. but he probably didn't practice to fight a tank player.

@somane44 not to mention it was chained, sealed, power-drained, robbed of all defensive items AND a squishy wizard. Batman is a literal anti-magic tank with unique items so Jared has no chance in personal combat or army warfare due to his territory being weaker.

As everything goes, one step at a time. At best you can ensure the steps are in the right direction, mistakes are where the most time is lost. Mistakes however are crucial to finding the correct path, unless of course you've walked the road before.

As much as I dislike that character, who did it in because of powerhunger of himself, a) MC would have done the same in his shoes and b) he just did prevent another bloodshed. Okay, it would have been a smaller one given that that arsefart lord (I won't call him Batman, as he is no Batman.) will build up his defenses, but peace is peace and who knows what happens next. (My guess is, that new guy will attack.)

He's stopping Jared because if Jared takes over Ronella, given the come-from-behind victory he just won, Caribia would swallow up Ronella and Mayorika completely, become one territory, his new population and resources would be intelligently used to create a far more impressive army, and then Capre would be out of an easy-win that lets him get stronger and trample Caribia even more easily.

He wants to eat Caribia. Ronella is between them. This isn't peace. It's a momentary stay of execution until Jared turns this around.
