Why did the artstyle go badonkers? Wtf... the art style was a very BIG part of the whole identity this built, can't really find the same enjoyment now that it looks almost fan drawn...

huh, i just re-read season 1 like a day and a half ago, and yesterday started reading the mtl of the novel just passed where s1 left off. interesting timing.

art change is a bit ... meh for me. the old art wasnt technically amazing or anything, but i really liked the character it embodied.

edit: actually upon second look it seems pretty clear that we got an illustrator swap, you can just look at both jared's and chloe's facial shape (as well as chloe's ears specifically) and tell its a different person drawing.

The art is different from CH 1.. The lines is getting a bit thicker xD n a bit rushed
I just re read CH 1 and the lines is smooth

@CptHornSwoggle honestly I didn’t notice either at the beginning but if you look carefully at their faces they’re all generally more childish now. Especially the mc looks younger. Btw I don’t care so much either bc the story is still great

i dont mind art style changes but this is more than style change... the scenes don't flow that well and the cartoon/chibi faces are used so often i feel like the artist is skipping corners in term of quality.... :[ and yeah lack of shading i don't need much but at least a bit more and cleaner lines pleaseee.....
