this strongly reminds me of the intro to the chimera ants arc from HxH, all these lesser ants show up but none have real power, but off unknown there's something new...something nasty overpowered...and they're just walking in totally unprepared for it
well, except for the fact that in this series MC is OP as hell himself so he's probably gonna be the one to put it down, instead of getting stuck on a mere guard while others kill the HxH king-equivalent

The Japanese hunters plan was to just straight up bait Hunters association so that all active S rank korean hunters to meet miserable end by baiting them into an offer that is almost undeniable. So even though, Yes you can feel bad for these S rank hunters but they got what was coming at em.
If you did light novel you would get much more details on the things webtoon just cant afford to put. However, i dont think there are disagreement on that japanese hunters are more or less getting what they deserve

@Kot can't say that I liked him. Then again, I liked the ant arc the least; going into strong dislike. I wouldn't say I hated it, but after the Greed Island arc (which is my personal favorite so far), I expected something else. Maybe it just reminds me too much of Dragon Ball.

@Hades3x Might have some sort of strategy on that, If the ant ground troops outside get wiped out then all the able-bodied S rank Hunters outside could converge and siege the whole nest, but if this so called special weapon decimates them to a certain degree where then they can't provide backup to the Hunters that went inside. Less assailants inside the nest means there's a higher chance for the Queen and the eggs to survive. TBH they should have torched those eggs at sight because now you risk the threat of the eggs hatching and swarming the party while in combat with the Queen and its guards.

Basically Super Ant is picking them S ranks off 1 by 1. I doubt it could take all of the Jap S-ranks at the same time. (Unless it's fucken bullshit power level is SSS that is)
