Gonna have to check out Ensiferum's latest album. Hopefully it's better than the stuff they've been releasing for the last decade. I loved their self titled album, Iron and the Dragonheads EP, and liked the Victory Songs album but after that they've been really average imo. Heard a lot of good things about Thalassic so here's hoping :)

As for my SotD, gonna have to go with Ambeon, one of Arjen Anthony Lucassen's projects:

Edit: Oh and Turmion Kätilöt really rocks :)
Personal favorites: U.S.C.H. or Jalopiina though their earlier stuff is quite competent as well.
