Ayumu lost the match and had to join the Kendo club for a couple chapters. Then Rin would realize how he cares for Urushi and they go back to the Shogi club.

But that would disrupt the status quo, so that didn’t happen.

The "thank god Maki got her out of the chapter" reaction that everyone's making towards the new character is exactly what the author wants out of you.
Rin being so annoying honestly makes the alone time between Urushi and Tanaka more precious, since it'll probably be a little more scarce from here on out.
Things are starting to get more comfortable between the two, so don't worry about little progress being made. They're probably gonna start making bigger plays from here on out.

I have mixed feelings for this manga. On one hand, I like how wholesome and cute it is, but on the other hand, the development is too slow and nothing interesting is happening. At this point, I think I know when he will confess really, he's probably gone confess one day before she graduates, but that's just my opinion.

The author knows blue balling his audience will sell just like Takagi did so there won't ever be any concrete development. Really hoped it wasn't the same formula.

it's literally an episodic manga like the original Takagi and Doraemon, don't hate on it for being too "slow". also, i love this manga because it is literally if takagi and nishikata switched places and had their personalities changed up a bit.

The point is the journey not the destination you fools. And this is as adorable as ever. Loving it more than ever. Loved most recent chapter. The people that think this is getting worse are out of their minds. This is absolutely one of the best in the genre with a totally different kind of appeal than something like Nagatoro (and doesn't have drama like Kaguya) (not that those two aren't good lol). They just have different strengths.
