My question is how does it works? What is it that being last updated? I thought it was the last updated chapters but it was not, for example: (Jigokuraku's in my MDList)

The screenshot above showed that it was last updated 5 hours ago; but when i opened Jigokuraku, it showed that the last updated chapter was 3 months ago (the screenshot below)

This is because it's showing you the time of latest update in any language. Yes, they want to fix it so that it's based on your language settings. No, they don't know when they'll be able to.
