@riftsalad well, they do resemble the abyss feeders with their partial transformation and we were told that claymore's were made using the flesh of "dragonkin" perhaps this is where the Rato (they had a couple of people that resembled the Black Suits) begin their experiment.

This chapter was quite curious. Those dragon knights resemble a lot the claymore warriors/monsters with a partial transformation.
