It's strange, the story isn't in any way new or particularly exciting, the characters aren't exactly pinnacles of creativity, but I find myself enjoying it nonetheless.

Photon energy energy honestly seems quite weak. It does no physical damage to the target. Even their clothes are fine after being hit by a photon energy weapon.

re: an earlier post, it definitely feels like a standard shonen executing its tropes faithfully, but i would say the author did a good job at worldbuilding which is what's keeping me interested.
