I have to say--these guys must stink! After more than a month of hunting animals, having blood fall all over it, and just about rolling in the dirt; you would think their clothes must have rotted and gone beyond wearable by now especially with no soap or detergent, but nope! Still chugging on with the same change of clothes.

@Shugarry It's not necessarily bad, but this author writes the same type of MC in basically all his mangas; a guy drifting through society, finds his calling and changes himself. It's okay but kind of feels one-dimensional once you've already read one of his works.

@RiceScum1 I think his problem isn't about thrill (well, it should be that too, but not the main reason). it's that he is in a kind of choice paralysis because of the unlimited options of who you can be in modern world. in this prehistoric setting, he only need to survive. no social pressure of what you should/shouldn't do. the measurement of success is only whether or not you survive today to see another day. at least for now.

I think the pressure of living as a normal civilized human made Taiga uncapable of making choices given a lot of paths to take, I guess now that they're at simple times now those burdens weighing on his shoulders were lift off.
