Sousou no Frieren - Vol. 1 Ch. 7 - The Land Where Souls Rest

They were retracing Himmel's steps anyway, so the Heaven being at the Demon Lord's castle is convenient.

Going to Sovngarde, eh? Better get that Dragon Rend ready beforehand, who knows what kind of ancient dragon might waiting for them.

Frieran currently looks like she's late teens, very early 20s. In the flashback with Flamme she looked what ... 10 - 12? I'm guessing she's closer to two thousand plus years old.

Wait, do they talk about the same Demon King they defeated back then? But this implies they were there! And even cleaned the place!!!
Also, what did Eisen mean by "He will be of assistance to me"? Something about being a guide for him when he dies? Does Eisen already plan to die?
Noooo, please!! I was so happy that dwarf is still alive!

@VINT64 I think that's his way of getting Frieran to go. He knows Frieran wouldn't do it for her own sake, but would for his sake. So he makes it a task for his sake, which will get her to go. She recognizes this, which is why she calls him cunning.

If the demon castle was once an area for "heaven" in this world, does that mean that something has happened way before Himmel's party formed to fight the demon lord? I do wonder if somebody corrupted the place causing it to turn it into a demon castle. Also, I bet that belief of that place is way older than Frieren and it is more of a conduit to actual heaven itself rather than a place for the dead to rest.

Thank you for the update! I've been looking forward to this! Finally, Frieren will get to talk to Himmel (≧∀≦)

Thank God Eisen wasn't dead or on the verge of death when they arrived. It's also a good thing that Frieren finally learned not to overestimate Fern's patience.
