Sousou no Frieren - Vol. 2 Ch. 10 - Solar Dragon

i kinda have a feeling that this is not a journey to visit old pals in heaven, its rather preventing another demon lord appear by making a new party and defeating him in advance.
 
@ispcizero3rd yeah the vibe this story is giving off is fighting a new demon lord with a new party so freiren could get some closure, she will, in the end, most likely meet himmel and the gang's spirit who apologized for goading her into doing it but she won't mind because she's doing it because she wanted to
 
Damn it, now I caught the lastest chapter. :/

Even though I really want to know more about journey of the hero goofy party. But I like how the author teasing us with slight flashback in each chapter. it gives both happy and sad mood at the same times.
 
What a meh development. They just beat a demon general that not even the old hero party that defeated the demon king could, almost effortlessly, and suddenly for a generic dragon they need a tank? Why is the certain-kill magic already obsolete within a few chapters? All the world-building going to trash just to force a romantic link between Fern and Stark.
 
@PolizPolice What can you say, there's only one hero party member there which is a mage with her mage apprentice while the dragon is literally So thick scalled that its immune to magic attack. So of course they need help from a guy that can literally split mountain into two.

Also, they didn't kill the general with pure stronk magic, the magicians research the hell out off that one shot kill magic before Frieren dare to challenge him.

She did kill him with pure stronk magic, though. She used his own attack at him and he melted instantly. With how magic seemed to be researched so thoroughly, I'd imagine dragon killer magic would also be on the menu, it's been 50+ years now. He isn't magic immune, since Frieren is implying she only needs a bit of charge time to down him, too(Couldn't she have just done that while he didn't notice her, back then?). Feels tacked on, regardless, gonna go with some others here and just hope we can see the adventure of the original group in a prequel or something, they seemed like a fun bunch.

The new party member also have almost zero experience in killing monster not to mention a mighty dragon.
Also, she maybe want Fern to get the taste first, or she just want to help her friend's apprentice so thats why she went careless with the dragon this time.

But I still looking forward for Stark X Fern ship tho.
 
Aww shit, are Fern and Stark going to hook up and given Freiren grand babies? Yes pls.
 
So I was reading this while ditching in Studio GHIBLI Jazz & Bossa Nova Lounge Cozy Accordion Mix. Must say it goes like red wine and beef.
 
The dragon didn't attack him because he's no Stark, he is a Snow with Targaryen blood.
 
Spell that makes clothes transparent. I can think a number of more cultural uses, other than identifying hidden weapons.

So a miniplot is actually going to last more than one chapter this time?
Wouldn't that be nice. This dull sludge of a story is actually trying to attain the very baseline expectation set by most other manga for once... ¬_¬
